The Apple II Plus added Integer and Applesoft BASIC in ROM — giving every user access to floating-point arithmetic without a language card — and a revised keyboard. It was the first Apple II aimed explicitly at business users rather than hobbyists, and the machine that expanded the Apple II from a niche product to a mainstream platform. Most of the early enterprise Apple II software was written for the Plus or its successors.
